Hakomi is a gentle yet profound journey into self-discovery. In our one-on-one sessions, we slow down—together.

You are invited to arrive exactly as you are.

Each moment unfolds naturally, guided by whatever is alive for you right now. We begin by first establishing a safe, therapeutic alliance and then settling into a grounded presence, opening a quiet space for what wants to be seen—whether it’s a feeling, a sensation, a memory, or a lingering thought.

From this place of authenticity, we gently uncover the unconscious patterns and beliefs that shape your inner landscape. This is a place where we can experience healing by cultivating a deep listening to the body’s innate wisdom, resourcing the nervous system’s resilience to generate self-compassion, untangle harmful internalized patterns, and embrace creative and contemplative meaning-making practices.

Another world is not only possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing.
— Arundhati Roy

Why Hakomi

Lasting transformation begins with awareness—and awareness begins in the present moment.

Hakomi invites a gentle and experiential exploration of the automaticity of being, bringing awareness to unconscious habits and beliefs that define our reality and determine our behavior in the world, and that are causing habitual unnecessary suffering.

Through this mindful, body-centered approach, we access the deeper organizing beliefs that shape our lives.

With this clarity comes greater self-compassion, emotional spaciousness, and the freedom to choose new ways of being.

What Happens in a Session?

No two sessions are alike. A session may include:

  • Gentle guidance towards mindful awareness of your body sensations, emotions, and memories.

  • Somatic prompts to uncover your automatic patterns and beliefs.

  • Reflection to integrate what is discovered.

Through embodiment we become present, through presence we develop awareness and through awareness we encounter the freedom to choose non-habitual responses.
— Russell Delman
